Walks at Assabet River Bluff

Event Details

Thank you to everyone who registered and participated, and thank you for your support of the campaign!

Saturday, April 9 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm 
This walk will be led by Joan Ferguson, CLCT Trustee, and Christa Collins, SVT’s Director of Land Protection.

Friday, April 22 from 4:00 – 5:30 pm 
This walk will be hosted by Polly Reeve, CLCT Board Chair, and Anthony Serra, SVT Land Protection Associate, and led by Peter Alden, world-renowned ornithologist and naturalist.

Sunday, April 24 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm 
This walk will also be hosted by Polly Reeve and Anthony Serra, and led by Peter Alden.

Walks are limited to 25 participants each. In case of inclement weather, call the Land Trust office at 978-369-6526 an hour before the walk to confirm details. Walks will proceed in light rain. Dress for weather conditions and wear sturdy shoes. 

Park at the West Concord train station in the spaces along the tracks marked for 3 hour parking.

Meet at the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail kiosk off of Rt. 62. We will then proceed onto the seating area at the bridge for brief remarks before heading onto the Assabet River Bluff property and its existing trails.
