Event Details:

Thursday September 29, 2022
1:00 – 2:00pm
Backyard at Fowler Branch
1322 Main Street, Concord

Free. Welcome to all. No registration required.

The Library is starting a pollinator garden that will support biodiversity by targeting at-risk bumblebee and butterfly species. It will provide educational opportunities and enjoyment for the community. Join library staff, along with Jane Gruba-Chevalier, CLCT executive director, to help with planting the new garden and decorating bricks to create a border around the new garden site.

Jane has provided consultation and resource information to the library staff to assist with the site planning. The Land Trust and Concord Library are also working together on a seed sowing initiative and, together with the Town Natural Resource Division, they will be presenting on it during Climate Prep Week. Jane will provide assistance with the planting and will be available to answer general questions about planting for at-risk pollinators, as well as questions about the seed sowing initiative
